Hi, I’m Jamie…

…recently based in Gloucester, Massachusetts. I’m a wedding and engagement photographer, a portrait artist for creatives and spiritual practitioners, and a documentary filmmaker passionate about telling authentic stories through both photo and film — all while trying not to trip over my own tripod!

I didn’t grow up like most photographers. As an autistic child raised by deaf parents in London, England, silence and solitude were my closest companions. My early life shaped a deep curiosity about the world and the stories that connect us all — and maybe a tendency to laugh at how strange life can be.

My adventures were never dull. Somehow, I seemed magnetised to the strange, the extraordinary, and the downright bizarre — and something inside me insisted I document it all. So I picked up a camera and became completely obsessed, learning everything I could, often to the point of driving friends (and occasionally myself) slightly mad. That little autistic kid inside me is still very much alive, hyper-focused on what I love, and it’s led me to discover my passion for photography, filmmaking, and storytelling — with just enough chaos and laughter along the way.

Over the years I’ve been tracked by Cuban spies, got lost in the Sahara Desert (saved by a Tuareg nomad!), and even had my nose broken by an elephant’s tail while filming in Thailand! Each experience sharpened my eye for detail, intuition, and the ability to capture moments that feel alive — and occasionally ridiculous.

Adventures Across the Globe

In my early 20s, I stunned my mother by leaving an ingrained life of predictability in England to work as an overseas adventure guide in Greece, launching 20 years of exploration across 60 countries. I’ve since navigated the Arctic, roamed remote Cuban islands, and penetrated the fiery interior of the Australian Outback, learning from some of the planet’s oldest cultures — from the Long Neck Kayans in Asia to the ancient Aboriginal Australians, and even hunting with the Bushmen of the Kalahari.

Weddings, Engagements & Portraits

Over the past decade, I’ve focused on weddings, engagements, and portrait photography, creating images that celebrate love, connection, and personality. I’ve photographed an engagement in Queen Elizabeth’s room at the Ritz in Piccadilly, London, filmed at Winston Churchill’s birthplace, Blenheim Palace, snapped colourful multi-day Indian weddings, and captured intimate village church ceremonies nestled into the greenest hills of England.

My style is non-intrusive yet thoughtful, letting natural moments unfold while providing gentle guidance when needed — and yes, I come complete with my English accent, which often makes sessions feel a little more fun and relaxed!

Short Cinematic Story Films

Alongside photography, I create short cinematic story films for creative professionals and spiritual practitioners — a form of moving portraiture that captures the essence of a person, their work, and their story to aid their business. I’ve produced films for shamanic practitioners, equestrians, and other creatives, helping them showcase their work and personality through a personal, cinematic lens.

Documentary Filmmaking

Documentary filmmaking is where my creative heart feels most at home — the place where curiosity, adventure, and my slightly chaotic charm all meet. I explore human stories, culture, consciousness, and the beautiful weirdness of life, whether that’s in remote landscapes, sacred traditions, or moments that unfold completely by accident.

My camera has taken me from the searing heat of Sierra Leone, to studying the ancient wonders of Bolivia and Peru — from Tiwanaku to Machu Picchu. I’ve filmed stories in places where the air feels ancient, the land feels alive, and the tripod… well, the tripod usually develops a personality of its own and tries to negotiate better working conditions.

One of my projects, Isolation, even made its way to the BBC, proving that sometimes the strangest, most personal ideas can resonate far beyond where they began.

Whether I’m interviewing Elders, documenting ceremonies, or trying to convince my gear not to mutiny in the middle of nowhere, my intention is always the same: to capture honest, meaningful moments that stay with people.

In everything I create — photo or film — I’m driven by a single purpose: to honour the truth of a story and let it echo long after the final frame.

Let’s Capture Your Story

Every person, every connection, and every moment carries a story — whether it’s the joy of your wedding, the excitement of your engagement, the essence of a creative portrait, or the soul of a cinematic story film for your business. My job is to reveal that story with honesty, artistry, and just the right amount of British charm and humour.

Think of me as the calm, creative friend who shows up with a camera, intuition, and the occasional questionable joke. I want you to feel comfortable, seen, and genuinely yourself in front of my lens. Together, we’ll create something that feels alive — something you’ll return to not just as images or film, but as a feeling.
